NORM HULL

bio»

Norm Hull teaches that everyone can be a part of the solution! "Deeds... not just words" is a credo he lives by as he seeks to offer solutions. He emphasizes that blaming is non-productive and words are not enough. Norm is a man of action who analyzes the situation, formulates a plan and works diligently towards a positive solution. He trains young leaders to do the same -- on their campus, in their home, in the community, and for the world. Beyond the Norm assemblies, keynotes, and leadership conferences include: creative solutions to enhance school climate and strengthen campus leadership, goal setting, acceptance and tolerance, making responsible choices, facing tough issues with strength, and much more.

"I provide the essential ingredients needed to change behavior: a motivational message that creates the desire and specific tools needed to create the change. I will leave your audience with tools for action ... action being the essence of personal leadership."

Norm's leadership background spans 25 years of practical experience and training. He started with top leadership positions in junior high and high school, serving as student body president at both levels. As a student and young adult, he worked closely with leadership associations and eventually became a leadership consultant. Since then he has worked to develop capable leaders among today's youth, educators, parents, and corporate America. Today, besides presenting assemblies and keynote speeches, he serves as director of his own leadership camps and conferences across America.

On an international level, Norm has served as a youth leadership consultant, coaching leaders in the former Soviet Union, Finland, Switzerland, England, and Canada. In 1988 Norm and 50 international students prepared proposals on sensitive world issues such as super power conflicts, ecology and human rights. The proposals were presented in person to President Mikhail Gorbachev in Moscow, President Ronald Reagan in Washington DC and the United Nations General Assembly in New York -- a remarkable accomplishment and proof that Norm goes Beyond the Norm!

Norm is author of Look Before You Lead: The Adventure of Student Leadership, Hands On: Advisers Leadership Workbook, and 20 manuals relating to school activities, special projects, and personal development. He is currently producing a youth motivational video series, Beyond the Norm.
